Topic: Do I always recognize God’s voice when He calls? (22 July 2025 - Only By Grace Reflections)

First Reading: Song of Songs 3:1-4b or 2 Corinthians 5:14-17
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 63:2, 3-4, 5-6, 8-9
Gospel: John 20:1-2, 11-18

There are many moments when we seek God, trying to listen to His voice, and yet, limited by our senses, we find it hard to recognize Him and His leading.

These challenging moments don’t mean God isn’t present or that He isn’t speaking. It only means we still have weaknesses and limitations which hinder us from fully recognizing Him.  

But God is gracious. He knows us on a personal level. He knows where we are coming from. He knows our limitations, as well as how to get our attention and how to move us to follow His lead.
