ππ» Concept: Mosaic Covenant
It is the covenant that God made with the people of Israel through Moses at Mount Sinai after their deliverance from Egypt. It is a conditional covenant, meaning its blessings were dependent on Israel's obedience to God's laws.
π Bible Readings: Exodus 24:7-8
(Exodus 19:5-6, 20:1-21, 24:7-8; Deuteronomy 4:13, 28:1-68; Matthew 5:17; Romans 3:20-25, 4:7; 6:14, 7:7-12, 8:3-4, 10:4; Galatians 3:13, 19, 24; Hebrews 8:6-13, 10:1-4; Colossians 2:16-17; 1 Timothy 1:8-9; James 2:10; Galatians 3:10; Romans 8:1-2)
π¨π»βπ» Teachings:
The Mosaic Covenant:
1. The law is a mirror.
2. The law restrains evil.
3. The law points to Christ.
πͺπΌ Applications:
1. Do not judge others because we are all equal.
2. Abandon your old self; discover your new self.
3. Run to Jesus for forgiveness and covering.
πDiscussion:
Why should we run to Jesus instead of relying on our own righteousness?
ππΌ Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving us Your law as a mirror to reveal our hearts. I see my sin and my need for Your grace. Help me not to judge others, knowing we are all equal before You. Teach me to let go of my old self and embrace the new life You have for me. When I fall, remind me to run to Jesus for forgiveness and covering. In Christ, I am chosen, forgiven, and loved. Thank You for Your mercy that never fails. In Jesus' name, Amen.
