Topic: When Jesus comes, will I let Him in, or ignore Him—too busy chasing my worldly dreams? (10 August 2025 - Only By Grace Reflections)

First Reading: Wisdom 18:6-9
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 33:1, 12, 18-19, 20-22
Second Reading: Hebrews 11:1-2, 8-19 or Hebrews 11:1-2, 8-12
Alleluia: Matthew 24;42a, 44
Gospel: Luke 12:32-48

Readiness is not about guessing the time of His coming, but living every moment as if He were already at the door. Faithful stewardship begins now—in the way we love, give, and serve.

Jesus’ words challenge us to ask: Am I holding onto what will last, or clinging to what will pass away? For where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also.

Blessed Carlo Acutis beautifully said, “The Eucharist is our highway to heaven.” In the Mass, we meet Jesus—not as a distant promise, but as a present reality. Receiving Him transforms how we live, helping us choose love over selfishness, prayer over distraction, and service over comfort.

It’s not about waiting passively, but living actively for Christ here and now.
