Be Still to Hear God
Becoming Christians
How can you hear God?
Be still.
“Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10, NKJV).
In today’s fast-paced, noisy world, stillness feels foreign—even uncomfortable. We rush through our days, scroll through endless content, and drown in distractions. And then we wonder why we can’t hear God.
But Yahweh doesn’t shout over chaos.
He speaks in the quiet.
If you truly want to hear Him, you must slow down.
Pause. Breathe. Listen.
Stillness is more than silence—it’s surrender.
It’s choosing to trust that God is in control, even when life feels out of control.
You won’t hear His whisper while you're chasing noise.
You won’t sense His presence if you never make space for it.
So shut out the distractions.
Put down the phone.
Quiet your soul.
It’s in the stillness that revelation comes, peace floods your heart, and the voice of God becomes unmistakably clear.
