Topic: We all get tired. What burdens me today? What have I not surrendered to Christ? (17 July 2025 - Only By Grace Reflections)

Oftentimes, we look for rest in entertainment, unwinding in parties and drinks. Or a vacation away from the busy world to enjoy long sleep that relaxes the body.

But real rest is freedom from fear, anxieties, guilt, shame, and endless striving. And for as long as any of these fill our hearts, we cannot achieve real rest.

Therefore, true rest is found in surrender. Hence, Jesus invites and He values those who are willing to be loved and to be led. And in coming to Him, our souls can find rest.
