For many, selfless love represents a significant way to express affection, emphasizing the needs and welfare of others, often at our own expense. However, Jesus invites us to level up our expression from selfless love to self-giving love.

While selfless love centers on others' well-being, self-giving love focuses on freely and generously offering oneself and one’s resources without expecting anything in return, even to the extent of sacrificing one’s life. Self-giving love is sacrificial love.
