TOPIC: DO WE RECOGNIZE GOD'S CALL IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES?

First Reading: Ephesians 2: 19-22
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 19: 2-3, 4-5
Gospel: Luke 6: 12-16

How can we glorify Him in our ordinary day-to-day lives? Let today's gospel remind us that God calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Just as Pope Francis described St. John Henry Newman as someone who is so unassuming like an "ordinary person" may we realize that God uses our lives, our weaknesses, and our strengths to further His kingdom. All He asks is that we say "yes" to His call, trusting that He will equip us for the journey.

This is the 1646th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
