TOTOO BANG MAGKAPATID SI HESUS AT SI SATANAS? Dapat Bang Paniwalaan Ang Ganitong Katuruan? Juan 3:18

Ayon sa siping ito (Juan 3:16–17), ipinakita ng Diyos ang Kanyang pag-ibig sa pamamagitan ng pagpapadala kay Jesus para sa atin. Sa halip na dumating upang humatol, dumating si Jesus upang iligtas ang sinumang mananampalataya sa Kanya. Binibigyang-diin ng talatang ito na may dalawang tanging pagpipilian lamang: buhay sa pamamagitan ni Cristo, o kamatayan. Ipinapakita ng Kasulatan ang isang bukas at puno ng pag-asang pananaw tungkol sa kaligtasan dahil sa pag-ibig ng Diyos. Ngunit inihahayag din nito ang kabanalan ng Diyos, at ang matinding kahihinatnan ng pagtanggi sa Kanya.

Ayon sa Bibliya, ang bawat tao ay nagkasala (Roma 3:23). Lahat ay karapat-dapat mawalay sa Diyos (Roma 6:23). Yaong mga hindi nananampalataya ay “hinatulan na,” sa kasalukuyang panahon. Hinatulan na tayong makasalanan (Juan 3:19), dahil tayo nga ay may sala. Ngunit dahil sa pag-ibig at pagtitiyaga ng Diyos, ipinagpapaliban Niya ang Kanyang paghatol (2 Pedro 3:9), upang bigyan tayo ng pagkakataong bayaran ni Cristo ang ating kaparusahan.

Maliwanag na sinasabi ng Bibliya na tayo'y naliligtas sa pamamagitan ng pananampalataya kay Cristo (Roma 10:9–10; Tito 3:5), at na tanging sa pananampalataya kay Cristo tayo maliligtas (Juan 14:6). Ang mga hindi nananampalataya sa Kanya ay hindi, at kailanma’y hindi, makakatagpo ng buhay na walang hanggan (Juan 3:36; Gawa 4:12).
