TOPIC: DO YOU FIND STRENGTH AND LIFE IN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST EVERY DAY?
First Reading: Acts 7: 51-60
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 31: 3cd-4, 6 and 7b and 8a, 17 and 21ab
Alleluia: John 6: 35ab
Gospel: John 6: 30-35
Jesus Christ, in our Gospel today, points this truth out to His followers: "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.".
The missionary activities and responsibilities we need to accomplish daily require various sources from which we can get our strength. There are many sources available to us ⏤ our family and loved ones, the food that we eat, the vitamins we take, the time for rest and sleep, and the many people and events that inspire us.
All these are good sources of our strength, but all these have limitations so they cannot fully sustain us no matter how much we trust them. There is only one source of life and strength who will never fail us - our Lord Jesus Christ!
This is the 1450th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
