Daily Devotions: Pastoral Prayer - February 7, 2024 DD

As we allow ourselves to dwell in God's presence, we commit the people we lead to Him, having faith in their flourishing and fulfillment of requests so that God's reality will become more evident in their lives because in whatever position of leadership we were in, the greatest thing we can do is to pray for the people.

Exodus 28:29 NLT
“In this way, Aaron will carry the names of the tribes of Israel on the sacred chestpiece over his heart when he goes into the Holy Place. This will be a continual reminder that he represents the people when he comes before the Lord.

Acts 6:2-4 NIV
So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”
