Topic: Do I believe in miracles? When was the last time I experience one? (3 July 2025 - Only By Grace Reflections)

First Reading: Ephesians 2:19-22
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 117:1bc, 2
Alleluia: John 20:29
Gospel: John 20:24-29

So many of us go to church every Sunday and that means we believe in the God we worship. But how many experience miracles? For how can God work in us when we don’t take our faith seriously? Yet miracles happen left and right—and in all sizes: small, medium, large, extra large miracles!

We don’t experience them simply because we probably lack faith! And probably, we think that it can happen to others but not to us. We all have the privilege of miracles. Don’t look for the open wound in Jesus' side, rather open your own side and let Jesus enter your heart. So many have testified, “We have seen the Lord!” Of course, in our time it is to say, "We have experienced the Lord!"—and those who say this have truly and powerfully experienced the work of the Lord!

There is a 2,000-year gap between Jesus' time and ours, yet people continue to believe the miracles on the strength of the Gospel—and Jesus continues to work miracles even in our time. Whether it be provision, transformation, or guidance, He continues to deliver.
