Topic: What is God asking me to wait for in faith? (7 July 2025 - Only By Grace Reflections)

First Reading: Genesis 28:10-22a
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 91:1-2, 3-4, 14-15ab
Alleluia: 2 Timothy 1:10
Gospel: Matthew 9:18-26

In today's Gospel, the woman quietly followed Jesus through the crowd, saying to herself, “If I can only touch His cloak, I’ll be healed.” She didn’t ask for attention. She didn’t shout. She simply waited for the right moment then reached out in silent, humble faith. And Jesus, moved by her belief, turned to her and said, “Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you.”

Real faith isn’t loud or demanding. It doesn’t rush God. It waits. It trusts. It believes in love and healing—even in silence and sorrow. The woman waited because she believed. And she was rewarded in ways words can barely capture.

We all have things we’re waiting on: healing, reconciliation, guidance, strength. And sometimes, we feel the weight of the wait. But what if our waiting isn’t empty? What if, like that woman, we’re just one faithful touch away from encountering the grace we’ve been longing for?
