First Reading: Exodus 33: 7-11; 34: 5b-9, 28
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 103: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13
Gospel: Matthew 13: 36-43

Our gospel today from Matthew 13:36-34 tells us about the reality of life and our faith – that in this world, there are forces of good and evil. There are those forces which will tempt us to do evil and give up our faith in God, but there are also those forces who will encourage us to trust in God and continue doing good despite the difficulties we are going through.

There are many challenges in life which tests our faith in God – relationship concerns especially in marriages and families, financial concerns, etc. There are problems in the past which continue to haunt many up to the present, and even the future which concerns many of us.

We are reminded to hold on to Him and trust that He can and will do something good in whatever situation we are in, that His plan is the best, if we can just hold on until the end.

This is the 1200th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.]

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
