Do we accept the authority of God’s word and submit to it with trust and obedience? Many religious leaders took offense at Jesus because they could not accept his authority. After Jesus had dramatically cleansed the temple of the traders and money-changers, the Jewish leaders questioned Jesus to trap him.  If he had said that His authority is divine, they would have charged him with blasphemy. If he had said he was doing it on his authority, they were prepared to arrest him as a mad zealot before he could do more damage. Jesus, seeing through their trap, posed a question to them and made their answer a condition for his answer.

This is the 1496th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Solphie Confiado as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
