TOPIC: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO SERVE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD?

First Reading: First Samuel 3: 1-10, 19-20
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 40: 2 and 5, 7-8a, 8b-9, 10
Alleluia: John 10: 27
Gospel: Mark 1: 29-39

In today’s Gospel reading, we look at the first 24 hours of Jesus’ public ministry that seemed to represent a day in the life of the Lord. The shift from synagogue to the house of Simon and Andrew takes Jesus from a place of tension and conflict, where He was confronted by demons and controversy over His teachings, to a more relaxed, comfortable setting.

This is the 1356th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Raymond Bucu, Head of CFC Gateway Evangelization, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
