TOPIC: HAVE WE BEEN "STUPID" IN OUR SPIRITUAL LIFE?
First Reading: Galatians 3: 1-5
Responsorial Psalm: Luke 1: 69, 70-71, 72, 73-75
Alleluia: Acts 16: 14b
Gospel: Luke 11: 5-13
Like St. Paul's converts in Galatia and like St. Peter, we at times are not aware of what the Lord is doing in our lives. We can get caught in our doubts and fears, running away ahead of the Lord and thinking that we can do things according to our agenda. When we are reminded of our tendency to control God and questions His ways, let us always remember that God has proven His love for us that have drawn us closer to Him.
My brothers and sisters, as we begin each new day, let us continue recalling His presence throughout our life that we do not lose sight of Him. As our Gospel today assures us "everyone who asks, receive; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." God indeed knows how to give good gifts to His children.
This is the 1628th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Rouquel Ponte, a member of the CFC Board of Elders, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
