TOPIC: DO I TRUST IN GOD’S HEART THAT IS FULL OF COMPASSION, FAITHFUL, AND TRUE?
First Reading: Genesis 1: 20 – 2: 4a
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 8: 4-5, 6-7, 8-9
Alleluia: Psalms 119: 36, 29b
Gospel: Mark 7: 1-13
In our Gospel today, our Lord Jesus Christ not only healed the sick but also brought back the dead to life. These miracles happened when a woman, who was afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve years, simply touched Jesus’ cloak and was healed. He also brought back to life a synagogue official’s daughter.
Jesus said to the hemorrhaging woman, “Daughter, your faith has saved you”, and He said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid; just have faith.”. These words coming from our Lord Jesus Christ remind us that faith indeed is necessary in our life and mission, especially when we go through situations that are beyond our control, capability, and imagination.
This is the 1752nd installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
