TOPIC: ARE WE IN NEED OF GOD’S HEALING TOUCH?

First Reading: First Samuel 4: 1-11

Alleluia: Matthew 4: 23
Gospel: Mark 1: 40-45

Today’s Gospel is about the miraculous healing of a leper. Leprosy is a horrific disease in the ancient world. It literally ate at the body and the person is wasted away until he dies. The worst part of being a leper is the way he is treated; they are despised by society and were not allowed to come anywhere near people and had to shout “Unclean” wherever they went. But Jesus, moved with pity touched the man with leprosy and said to him, “I do will it. Be made clean.”

This is the 1357th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Rouquel Ponte, a member of the CFC Board of Elders, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
