Gospel: Matthew 9: 32-38
Our gospel today from Matthew 9:32-38 reminds us of how Jesus expresses His utmost compassion and love for those who are in need.
There is so much brokenness in our world today – wounded hearts, broken relationships, divided nations, countries at war, and many more. Can we still dream of seeing a world that is completely at peace? Is it still worth a try to make a step that will make an impact to make the world a better place? Jesus reminded us that we should, and we can.
St. Teresa of Ávila reminds us:
“Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours.
Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world.
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good.
Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world.
Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”
Let us be open to become instruments of Christ’s compassion for those who are in need. Let His love be in our hearts so that we may have burden for our lost brothers and sisters and become His vessels to heal a broken world.
This is the 1184th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This
