TOPIC: ARE YOU READY TO TRUST GOD IN EVERYTHING AS YOU DO HIS MISSION?
First Reading: Acts 11: 21b-26; 13: 1-3

Gospel: Matthew 5: 13-16
In our gospel today, Jesus Christ sends out His disciples, with instructions as to the message that they have to proclaim, and the mission that they are to do. He reminds them to not worry about the things that they will need along the way, but rather to trust in God’s provision and faithfulness.
As we heed God’s call to mission, we will face different challenges. But our Lord Jesus Christ’s reminder to His disciples is the same reminder He gives us as we fulfill our mission. He wants us to focus on the necessary elements of the mission ⏤ the message that we are to proclaim, the mission activities that we must perform, and most importantly, the One who calls us, He Himself, who will empower us and provide for our needs!
This is the 1506th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
