TOPIC: HOW CENTRAL IS PRAYER TO MY LIFE?
First Reading: Isaiah 55: 10-11
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 34: 4-5, 6-7, 16-17, 18-19
Verse Before the Gospel: Matthew 4: 4b
Gospel: Matthew 6: 7-15
St. Teresa of Calcutta said, “Prayer is as necessary as the air, as the blood in our bodies, as anything to keep us alive ⏤ to keep us alive to the grace of God.”. Prayer is our communion with God, the union of our presence with His Presence. We pray because we believe that we need Him in our lives, and the more we need Him in each moment and in all aspects of our lives, the more we should commit to pray, to dwell in Him.
In anything and in everything, we should pray. In all times and places, we should pray. In all circumstances, we pray. Dwell in the Presence of our God. However we pray, what is most important is we pray from the heart, for the Lord our God honors and blesses anything that we present to Him as long as it comes from our hearts.
This is the 1782nd installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.]
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
