Gospel: John 5: 17-30
Jesus claims a unique and inseparable connection with the Father and the authority to judge the living and the dead. This is His call for us to seek a deep, intimate relationship with God and to consider our actions, decisions, and the state of our hearts in light of the accountability we have before the divine judgment seat.
Like St. John the Apostle, we are called to live in unity with the Father and the Son. It is this unity that brings fulfillment to our lives. This is what you and I were made for.
This is the 1416th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
