TOPIC: HOW CAN I STRIVE TO BE MORE LIKE GOD IN MY ACTIONS AND ATTITUDE?
First Reading: Deuteronomy 26: 16-19
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 119: 1-2, 4-5, 7-8
Verse Before the Gospel: Second Corinthians 6: 2b
Gospel: Matthew 5: 43-48
Our Lord calls us to a deeper level of discipleship, one that demands forgiveness, compassion, and a willingness to love even those who are difficult to love. It’s a call to action, urging us Catholics to live out the teachings of the Gospel by extending love and compassion to all, regardless of their actions towards us. Saint Louise de Marillac is proof that regardless of our background or circumstances, if we’re open to God and His will, we can be filled with love, and our lives can have profound meaning.
This is the 1785th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Solphie Confiado, Country Coordinator for CFC Egypt, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
