TOPIC: ARE OUR HEARTS ATTUNED TO THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?

First Reading: Acts 22: 30; 23: 6-11
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 16: 1-2a and 5, 7-8, 9-10, 11
Alleluia: John 17: 21
Gospel: John 17: 20-26

The theme of today’s Gospel is the prayer of Jesus “that we may all be one just as He and the Father are one”. Some bible scholars say that this prayer of Jesus is the only prayer that remains unanswered. Why? Because of so much division during the time of our Lord and even today.

Mark 9:40 says, “Whoever is not against us is for us.” Charisms and directions may vary but if our hearts are fixed on Jesus and if we follow the way of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, then we all belong to God.

This is the 1480th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Rouquel Ponte, a member of the CFC Board of Elders, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
