Gospel: John 13: 1-15

2,000 years ago, Jesus came to set us free. But did that salvation happen in our lives? Have we been freed from our oppression and anxieties? Are our eyes no longer blind to the truth that we are God's children and that His love can free us from our captivity to never-ending work, sickness, loneliness, insufficiencies, and separations? Maybe yes, but then again, maybe not yet.

Jesus knows our weaknesses and difficulties and wants to empower us to walk confidently. He will return to free us from them and to refresh our feet for the journey. He even calls us to come for one another to give deeper meaning to our journey. Let us approach Him daily and ask for the grace to walk His way of humble servanthood.
