TOPIC: DO YOU WANT TO KNOW THE MIND AND THOUGHTS OF GOD?
First Reading: Isaiah 10: 5-7, 13b-16
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 94: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 14-15
Alleluia: Matthew 11: 25
Gospel: Matthew 11: 25-27
Jesus proclaims that God reveals Himself only to those with child-like simplicity and humility. Humility leads the heart toward grace and truth. As pride is the root of every sin and evil, so is humility the soil in which the grace of God can take root.
Jesus chose to be humble. So did the Blessed Mother Mary. Jesus is the perfect revelation of God, which means we can know the living God personally through Jesus. Mary is the humble handmaid of God, yet now she brings everyone closer to Jesus. May we be granted the child-like hearts of Francisco and Jacinta so that through Jesus and Mary, God our Father may hear our prayers in Jesus' name and thus approach Him with joy and confidence in His love and care for us.
