TOPIC: HOW DO WE RESPOND TO CRITICISM?

First Reading: Hosea 14: 2-10
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 81: 6c-8a, 8bc-9, 10-11ab, 14 and 17
Verse Before the Gospel: Matthew 4: 17
Gospel: Mark 12: 28-34

With the radical circumstances surrounding Jesus, He cannot help but be criticized heavily by the scribes and Pharisees. In modern parlance, especially in the realm of social media, we call this bashing or being bashed. Have you ever been attacked by bashers on social media? How did you respond? As we read today’s Gospel, let us observe carefully how Jesus dealt with one of His bashers and learn from His example.

This is the 1071st installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Jess Ferrer, Head of the CFC Migrants Program as he brings us today’s reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
