Gospel: Luke 7: 1-10
Today's Gospel shows the expectant faith the Centurion has that Jesus would be able to heal his dying servant. He didn't even appear in front of Jesus to appeal for healing. Instead, he sent Jewish leaders to appeal on his behalf, for he deemed himself unworthy to approach the Lord. Yet, Jesus was impressed by this expectant faith and healed his slave. We can only imagine the celebration in the Centurion's household when his servant was healed! In our lives, our Lord Jesus Christ has granted us miracles such as this. Can we recall how the Lord has answered our prayers, though we deem ourselves unworthy to receive His grace? How have we shown gratitude for these miracles?
