Topic: God gave me the perfect prayer to reach Him — but have I truly prayed it in the sincerest way possible? (19 June 2026 - Only By Grace Reflections)
First Reading: 2 Corinthians 11:1-11
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 111:1b-2, 3-4, 7-8
Alleluia: Romans 8:15bc
Gospel: Matthew 6:7-15
Jesus confronts vain, repetitive prayers—packed with so many words but with little heart. Some of us may fall into this, attempting to manipulate God, if not to impress others with it. Remember that God listens not because we are eloquent, but simply because we are His children.
Praying is about communion and not performance. God knows what our deepest needs are, but what He wants is our repetitive and sincere communion with Him. In these moments, He looks for our trust in the fatherhood of God who is already aware of our needs. Thus, he taught us the Lord's Prayer so we may align our hearts with the kingdom.
