TOPIC: DO I APPROACH GOD WITH THE CENTURION’S HUMILITY AND TRUST?
First Reading: Isaiah 2: 1-5
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 122: 1-2, 3-4b, 4cd-5, 6-7, 8-9
Alleluia: Psalms 80: 4
Gospel: Matthew 8: 5-11
In our prayer time today, let's consider reflecting deeply.on the centurion's humility. Do we, like the centurion, approach God with a humble heart, acknowledging our unworthiness and yet trusting completely in His power and authority? Do we recognize that it is not our merits or achievements that draw God's attention, but our humility ang dependance on this grace.
Do we rely on our own strength or humbly depend on God's power? Do we trust that God’s Grace is enough even when we feel unworthy?
Like the centurion, can we let go of pride and surrender fully to God's will and mercy?
Let's ask the Holy Spirit to help us cultivate a heart that mirrors the centurion's humility, one that acknowledges our limitations but trusts unconditionally in God's greatness.
This is the 1681st installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Eric Villanueva, Mission Head for CFC Europe and the Americas, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
