TOPIC: HOW DO WE RESPOND TO TRUTH AND THE TRUTH OF OUR SALVATION?

First Reading: First John 2: 22-28
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 98: 1, 2-3ab, 3cd-4
Alleluia: Hebrews 1: 1-2
Gospel: John 1: 19-28

Christmas is not just a celebration but our salvation. The amazing truth is that while for us, Christmas is all about Jesus and rightly so, but for Jesus, Christmas is all about us. He comes because we need Him. How do we respond to this beautiful truth? For many, this is just another Christmas that comes and will go. But since salvation is the most important truth, being our final destiny, we must give our boldest and utmost response for this highest concern until His final coming. The truth of God and His will will not change and will persist till we face the Refiner’s Fire. And hence, we should continue to seek what salvation asks of us while we are in control of our lives, so we may stand with confidence and not be put to shame before our Judge.

This is the 1712th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Robert Ardiente, a member of the CFC Servants of the Lord International Core, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
