It is easy to follow Christ when life is easy, when everything seems to be happening according to our expectations, when we can control the things that are happening in our lives, and even when the problems that we are going through can be resolved within our means and capacity.
But when things happen beyond our control, when even all of our capabilities are not enough to change things according to how we think it should be – that is the real test of faith. In fact, that is where we can actually exercise what real faith is all about, faith not in ourselves, but faith in our God who is able and true!
This is the 1527th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
