TOPIC: DO WE REMAIN IN THE LOVE OF JESUS?

First Reading: Acts 15: 7-21
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 96: 1-2a, 2b-3, 10
Alleluia: John 10: 27
Gospel: John 15: 9-11

Today’s Gospel reading is a continuation of last Sunday’s teaching of our Lord Jesus on the parable of the vine and the branches.

Jesus’ focus is on the inner life of the plant. If the love of the vine flows through the branches, they will bear much fruit. Jesus is a fruitful vine. If we remain in him, we will be fruitful as well. Some of the fruit of love we see in Christians are in the raising of good families, caring for the sick, serving the poor, teaching and defending the Catholic faith, helping cultivate our Christian culture in everyday life.

This is the 1466th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Rouquel Ponte, a member of the CFC Board of Elders, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
