TOPIC: MAPAGKUMBABA O MATAPOBRE?

First Reading: Job 9: 1-12, 14-16
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 88: 10bc-11, 12-13, 14-15
Alleluia: Psalms 103: 21
Gospel: Matthew 18: 1-5, 10

Paliwanag nga ni St. Pope John Paul the Great:

"The "poor in spirit" may be a materially rich person who "does not close heart, but faces up to the intolerable situations that perpetuate the poverty and misery of the many. "Poor in spirit indeed is the rich man who does not rest so long as a brother or sister is entrapped in injustice and powerlessness" and "poor in spirit is the one who holds political power and remembers that it is given for the common good only, and who never ceases to devise means to organize all sectors of society according to the demands of the dignity and equality that is the birthright of every man, woman and child that God has called into existence."

This is the 1621st installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Arnel Santos, a member of the CFC Board of Elders and CFC Asia Mission Head, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
