TOPIC: ARE THERE STILL PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU NEED TO FIND THE GRACE TO FORGIVE?

First Reading: Isaiah 55: 10-11
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 34: 4-5, 6-7, 16-17, 18-19
Verse Before the Gospel: Matthew 4: 4b
Gospel: Matthew 6: 7-15

There are many aspects of forgiveness that we need to realize. We need to forgive ourselves aside from forgiving others. We can offer forgiveness to those who hurt even if they did not ask for it. We can ask for forgiveness not only because we are wrong, but more so if we believe we caused someone’s hurt and we value the person and our relationship.

St. Augustine said, “Forgiveness is the remission of sins. For it is by this that what has been lost, and was found, is saved from being lost again.”. May we find the grace to ask, as much as to offer forgiveness, that we may receive the fullness of whatever God, our Father, has prepared for us.

This is the 1394th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
