Gospel: Matthew 6:19-23
In today's Gospel reading, Jesus advises His disciples to focus on storing up treasures that last for eternity. The truth is, the treasures we accumulate on earth can be taken from us, fade away, or lose their appeal. When we die, we'll leave everything behind.
Instead, Jesus wants us to store up what truly matters, both here and in the hereafter. Treasures that will never fail us, foremost of which is the gift of love.
