The world offers many promises, promises of good life, abundant living, and happiness in so many ways and perspectives which focuses on self-preservation and self-centeredness hoping that these will suffice.
We should realize that true and lasting peace does not come from just satisfying our physical or emotional needs which focuses on self-preservation and momentary relaxation or fun.
Our Lord Jesus Christ offers lasting peace, the peace that the world cannot offer: the peace that comes not from just satisfying physical and emotional needs, but the peace that comes from the unconditional love of God, His grace and mercy, selfless love, forgiveness, reconciliation.
