TOPIC: ARE YOU TRULY A PARTICIPANT IN GOD'S WORK?

First Reading: Ezekiel 34: 1-11
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 23: 1-3a, 3b-4, 5, 6
Alleluia: Hebrews 4: 12
Gospel: Matthew 20: 1-16

In today's Gospel reading, the Lord Jesus Christ speaks of a parable wherein a landowner sought to find workers for his vineyard from dawn to dusk, sending them to the vineyard and giving each a fair wage.

Through the parable, Jesus is telling us that, as far as He is concerned, it does not matter whether a worker came in early or late as long as those who were called responded and did their part in His vineyard. In participating in His work, all who came in early were able to experience His generosity and presence. Those who came in late received His mercy and compassion. Whatever time of the day the laborers came, they all received more than their fair share of wages.

This is the 1577th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Raymond Bucu, South Asia Regional Coordinator and Provincial Area Head of Bulacan, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
