TOPIC: DO YOU THIRST FOR GODLY WISDOM?
First Reading: Jonah 3: 1-10

Gospel: Luke 11: 29-32
Jesus gave a rather painful warning to His audience when they demanded a sign from Him. Jesus knew the prideful hearts of the people around Him. The religious leaders kept asking for the wrong things and were not content to accept the signs and miracles happening right before their eyes. Through lack of understanding they had already rejected the message of John the Baptist and now they are rejecting Jesus as Messiah. Because of this, Jesus called their generation "evil" since they rejected Him who is the source of the gift of wisdom and discernment that would have made them realize that Jesus is truly the Son of God.
This is the 1395th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
