TOPIC: HOW DO WE RECOGNIZE GOD'S WILL OUR LIVES?

First Reading: Ephesians 4: 1-7, 11-13
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 19: 2-3, 4-5
Gospel: Matthew 9: 9-13

Matthew knew in his heart that God was calling him to abandon his former life and to embrace this new life. There was no long discussion, no weighing of the pros and cons, no prolonged thinking about it. Levi just knew, and he responded.

It is important to be aware of the fact that sometimes God does act this way. This is a great gift when it happens! And though this depth of instant clarity is not always the way God speaks to us, it's important to acknowledge that God does speak to us this way at times.

Let us reflect today upon this call of Matthew on the inner certainty he was given at that moment. Le us try to imagine what he experienced and wha others may have thought of his decision to follow Jesus. Let us be open to this same grace and be ready and willing to respond without hesitation.

This is the 1609th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Solphie Confiado, Country Coordinator for CFC Egypt, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
