We exercise our faith in many different ways. There are times when we don’t easily recognize God talking to us or working in our lives, due to some distractions, preventing us from fully living out our faith according to His will.
God’s love is personal! He has His way of communicating to us individually, touching us and transforming us in an intimate and personal way.
That is why by His grace, love, and mercy, our Lord Jesus always lets His ways speak to us personally, ways which He knows we will recognize. Christ knows our weaknesses and strengths; He knows how to get our attention, so we can return to Him and live fully according to His plan.
Pope Benedict XVI said, “Faith is above all a personal, intimate encounter with Jesus, and to experience His closeness, His friendship, His love; only in this way does one learn to know Him ever more, and to love and follow Him ever more. May this happen to each one of us.”
