Topic: HOW WELL DO I KEEP MY HOUSE CLEAN?

As Christians, our bodies are now the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor and respect this Divine indwelling by keeping it clean and devoid of any dirt.

Keeping our bodies clean takes into consideration the physical, mental, and spiritual states of our bodies. Through prayer and thanksgiving, we can keep our bodies physically clean by refraining from unhealthy food and by avoiding vices like alcoholism, smoking, and drug addiction.Mentally, we can have a clean state of mind when we overcome our doubts, fears, worries, and anxieties by putting our full trust on the Lord. Spiritually, we can only be clean through the avoidance of sin and through availing of the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Our bodies have been designed to carry out the purpose of serving the Lord as He has commissioned us to go and make disciples of all men. By making it our way of life to keep our bodies clean - physically, mentally, and spiritually — we are able to make ourselves fit for the service of the Lord and for glorifying Him.
