Gospel: Mark 9: 30-37

In today's gospel, Jesus invites us to embrace humility and service and renounce our desire to seem great in the eyes of others. Jesus calls us to care for the "least" in society (symbolized by the child) and to recognize that true greatness comes from selflessness and welcoming others with love.

Jesus is teaching us that anyone who wants to be first must be the last and the servant of all. May we draw inspiration from the conversion story of Saint Francis of Assisi.

This is the 1610th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Israel Silud, Regional Coordinator for East Asia, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
