TOPIC: WHAT ARE THE AREAS IN OUR LIFE THAT STILL NEED TO GROW IN OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WILL?
First Reading: Second Samuel 6: 12b-15, 17-19
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 24: 7, 8, 9, 10
Alleluia: Matthew 11: 25
Gospel: Mark 3: 31-35
In our gospel today, when Jesus Christ was speaking to the crowd, Mother Mary and some of His disciples were looking for Him. He addressed them by saying “…whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”. Jesus reminds us that our relationship with Him can be recognized by how we live our lives according to His will.
Indeed, it is difficult to live out God’s command, but there are ways by which we can use our own giftedness, to commit ourselves to the Lord, by His grace, and with the support and encouragement of one another.
This is the 1366th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
