It’s so easy to fall into the habit of judging others, based on how they dress, talk, act… the list goes on. We do it without realizing it. Sometimes, it even gives us a strange sense of satisfaction, like we’re a little bit better than them. But that’s not real peace. It’s not love, and it definitely doesn’t reflect Jesus.
The truth is, when we judge, it says more about our own hearts than the person we’re judging. Sometimes we do it because we’re not at peace within ourselves. But Jesus invites us to something better, to look inward, to let go of judgment, and to grow in compassion.
