The offer of peace to the disciples is also an offer of forgiveness to us that will allow us a new beginning in our relationship with the Lord. The appropriate way to start anew is to be born again which means a new spiritual birth. It’s having a new mind and a new heart leaving behind a lukewarm—if not a sinful—life.
Peace is adopting a spirit-filled loving and serving the Lord, a courageous living that proclaims the Word and a deeper worship. The Holy Spirit is the power of God that resurrected Jesus. It is the same power that will strengthen us now in our new beginning and a victorious life.
