TOPIC: DO I BELIEVE THAT GOD IS PREPARING GOOD NEWS FOR ME AFTER ALL MY CHALLENGES?

First Reading: Second Samuel 7: 1-5, 8b-12, 14a, 16
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 89: 2-3, 4-5, 27 and 29
Gospel: Luke 1: 67-79

In today’s Gospel, we commemorate the Nativity of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. He was born in humble circumstances ⏤ born in a manger, with Mary and Joseph, his parents, humble servants of God. He was born in a challenging situation where His parents went from one house to another just to find a place where His mother could give birth.

We experience many situations similar to how our Savior Jesus Christ was born ⏤ moments  when we first go through trials, humiliation, frustration, painful ways of learning, and many more, before we experience the great consolation of receiving what we have been praying for, before receiving the gift of healing and reconciliation of relationships, and whatever gives us growth and special joy.

This is the 1703rd installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
