Sometimes we hear God's word, but miss its meaning, not because it is unclear but because our hearts aren’t ready. Parables make things clearer and deeper, making the call to change easier to accept.
Today, the Good News will continue to be proclaimed even if the listeners would include many who refuse to accept Jesus’ message. It would be like sowing on rocky ground.
So blessed are those who listen and keep the Word for they will live life strong and wise. For real treasures are not material wealth but the wisdom. They will stand strong through the storm. They will not lose joy and peace even in insufficiency.
