Jesus was on fire with zeal for the house of His Father and demanded that it be respected as a house of prayer. Silence, worship, and prayer are the essential elements of every visit to a church, especially during Sunday Mass. Jesus is present in the Eucharist, waiting to enter into dialogue with us. We are never closer to heaven than when we are before our Lord in the Eucharist. Yet distractions may come in various forms if we are not focused.
By His cleansing of the Temple, the Lord reminds us that the loss of the sense of the sacred happens in a very subtle and quiet way. Unless we remain vigilant and careful, we can lose our way in the spiritual warfare that we wage daily. Let us cleanse ourselves of anything that diminishes this sense of the sacred and become a people who radiate joy and enthusiasm.
This is the 1309th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.
[NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Jess Ferrer, Head of Migrants Program, as he brings us today's reflection.
All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
