TOPIC: WHAT ARE GOD'S WORDS IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU HAVE YET TO OBEY?

First Reading: Proverbs 21: 1-6, 10-13
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 119: 1, 27, 30, 34, 35, 44
Alleluia: Luke 11: 28
Gospel: Luke 8: 19-21

Having a personal relationship with Christ is not easy. It may be easy for us to call Him Lord, or Savior, or Brother - but that relationship entails faithfulness and obedience to His will. That is the true parameter of a growing relationship with Him, and that is what we are supposed to work on while we are here on earth as we journey in faith to be with Him forever.

Pope Francis said, "In the Acts of the Apostles, Peter offers a key to the Christian life: 'To obey God instead of men,' it is the great Christian response. This means listening to God without reservations, without postponements, without calculations."

Let us trust that our Lord Jesus Christ will personally lead us to grow in our relationship with Him, for it is His utmost desire that we all draw closer to Him and God the Father. And we must strive everyday to listen to His words and to obey.

This is the 1615th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
